EPA Lead-based Paint Certification Training Course
On effect since April 22, 2010, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) asked contractors to test for lead paint in before 1978 dwellings before setting out any work. If lead is discovered, all contractors who render a service for compensation had already passed the EPA RRP Certification Classes and must use Lead Safe Work Practices. Any contractor who neglects to comply could be penalized up to $37,500 each day.
If you are not certified. You are required to take EPA RRP Certification Classes and be certified, if your company provides contracting services in plumbing, building, and electrical or painting work. Your company is also needed to be registered with the federal agency and to have a Certified Renovator (RRP) on personnel.
Certify your company and personnel today by letting them take EPA RRP certification classes. The Lead: Renovation, Repair and Painting Program (RRP) is the required course to turn a Certified Renovator and abide with EPA's RRP Rule-40 CFR 745.
